22nd Children's Residential: Raising Expectations

'Raising Expectations' was In Control's 22nd Residential held on the 4th and 5th March in Leeds. This year the event focused on helping those taking forward work on personal health budgets with In Control as part of the NHS England funded project.

The event covered topics such as:

  • What the new Code of Practice for SEN could mean for those working in the field
  • Implementing both the Code and personal budgets and what our experiences tell us about implementation
  • Four workshops setting out key areas for work and supporting people in developing local approach
  • Assessment and allocation
  • Commissioning support for families - information, planning and managing personal budgets
  • Developing a workforce focused on outcomes and person centred working
  • Preparation for Adulthood
  • POET Early findings....what next?
