Development from within

A course for students and practitioners of participatory development and sustainable social change.

A one-week residential retreat with Varun Vidyarthi of the Manavodaya Institute, Lucknow, India.
31 October to 7 November 2009, Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery, Langholm, Scotland

Varun Vidyarthi is a practitioner and teacher of global importance. The course presents a unique opportunity to develop your thinking and practice. This course is for you if you want to find answers to the following questions:

  • How can we break through to a new understanding of community – one in which action and participation outweigh rhetoric andgood intentions?
  • I have tried to work harder, longer and smarter – sometimes without discernible effect. How can I really maximise my effectiveness as a facilitator or manager or change agent)?

The programme will help participants take a step forward in consciousness and practice. In presenting lessons from Manavodaya’s work, Varun Vidyarthi will challenge each of us to change the way we live and work.

The programme will be of particular interest to those involved in Self-Directed Support.

There are only 20 places - so download the flyer and book now.
