The Government recently issued New Horizons, a draft new mental health policy. While In Control supports much of the draft policy's overall aims, we emphasise that several crucial elements  are currently missing. The policy does not indicate that mental health services should aim to sustain people's connections with their whole life outside of services - for example with their jobs, friends and homes.
