The Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS)
has compiled a list of each Southern Cross home and what has
happened to it.
The collapse of the UK's biggest care home provider, Southern
Cross, caused great concern to the families of the 31,000 people
living in their homes.
A resource has now been created by ADASS which aims to identify
all of the homes - almost 600 - and publish the latest information
on transfers to new providers.
Southern Cross aims to transfer all its homes to other operators
by 31 October and then it will close.
The list is being hosted by the Guardian's Datablog. Visit the site for more
information and to download the data.
