Making it Real across the regions

Significant programmes of work to support the delivery of Think Local Act Personal's markers of progress 'Making it Real' have now started in a number of regions.

The programmes are currently running in the North West, London and Yorkshire and Humber regions.

Activity will focus on helping councils and provider organisations to get started with 'Making it Real' and will provide practical help that includes workshops, learning sets, project work and an online webinar programme.

Through the use of Making it Real, the programmes will provide support to the regions to deliver truly personalised services.

A particular focus will be placed on:

  • Improving choice and control in personal budgets and checking their outcomes using POET
  • Individual Service Funds
  • Market development
  • Inregration with health and children's services
  • Building community capacity
  • Co-production
  • Workforce development

By using Making it Real organisations will be able to check how well they are progressing in transforming adult social care and to develop an improvement action plan for a more effective and efficient delivery of personalisation.

Programmes will vary slighting in each region and have been tailored towards specific support needs.

These regional programmes have received significant support from provider organisations that are sponsoring the work taking place. These organisations include:

  • United Response
