In Control's annual two-day leadership event for those working
in adult social care was held on 11 and 12 January 2012.
Presentations from the session are now available.
The event was an opportunity for delegates to address the issues
that were of greatest concern to them and to focus on how to
overcome these challenges.
More than 40 people attended the venue at Milton Keynes from a
broad range of local authorities, provider organisations as well as
individuals and families.
It was an extremely productive event, which covered:
- Moveable Feast performance
- Family leadership
- Community Fund Holding
- Keeping to the values in tough times
- Micro-providers and enterprise
- Commissioners and providers
- Change and leadership
- Evaluation: The National Personal Budget Survey and POET
- Whole life, children, families and personal health budgets
- Individual Service Funds
- Personalised action plans
Presentations from the day can be downloaded below.
Helen Sanderson and Steve Scown's presentation on Individual
Service Funds can be viewed

We've already had some great feedback from delegates attending
the event, including:
"Fabulous - thank you for the opportunity."
"This was my first In Control event. It was excellent and
has given me lots of inspiration and ideas to take forward. Thank
you."
We would like to thank everyone for making the event very
interesting and interacrive. I was very impressed with all aspects
of the event."
