Face Painting Workshop for Beginners - 30 August 2013

My Life teams up with Cases Faces to run a face painting workshop for beginners and anyone interested in learning face painting.

The workshop will be held at Appley Bridge Community Centre, Wigan from 10.30am to 2pm.

Cost: My Life members - £5. Non members - £10.

Sounds Good! - 20 - 22 August 2013

A three-day event in conjunction with Scout Hut Records and Thoughtism, Sounds Good! is a new creative project for young adults, with or without disability, who love music.

No experience is needed, and over the three sessions young adults will learn all about music and how it is made, spend time recording in a professional studio, learn about graphic art and creating a CD cover and participate in a song as well as selling through a record shop.

The event will be held at Swinley Labour Club, Wigan.

Challenging Behaviour - 16 September 2013

Deiivered by Judith Seaward, who has over 20 years' experience with working with challenging behaviour, this is a training session designed to provide you with insight and practical tips on communicating, understanding and supporting individuals who are seen as 'difficult' but are often simply misunderstood.

The training will be held at Leigh Sports Village from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

The Inclusive Community Experience (ICE) Conference - 26 - 28 January 2014

The ICE conference returns in January 2014 with a three-day event that gives you the opportunity to take part in a range of creative and interactive workshops, learn how to build communities, share your skills and talents, make change happen through working on solutions to some of the most pressing social issues as well as meet new and old friends and make contacts to help you in your community.

In addition you can take part in a 'Come Dine with Me' experience.

Aimed at everyone who needs support, works with people needing support, or has a role within the support community, ICE is the perfect opportunity to share in an inclusive event, to help you continue to work toward better outcomes and achieving a sense of belonging for everyone.

The conference will be held at Ribby Hall Village Kirkham, near Blackpool.

Cost: £145 per person, which includes 2 nights accommodation, workshops, entertainment and food. A £50 deposit is required. There are also a number of subsidized places available.
