On July 16 we held a webinar to demonsrate how councils can use
In Control and Lancaster University's Personal Outcomes Evaluation
Tool (POET) for free.
The session was presented by John Waters and Tim Parkin. POET
has been developed over a number of years by In Control and
the Centre for Disability Research at Lancaster University.
Its aim is to provide a national benchmark on the impact that
personal budgets are having on people's lives.
We are delighted to announce that Care Services Minister Norman
Lamb has just recommended that all councils should be checking
people's experiences of using personal budgets, through tools such
as POET. Furthermore he has confirmed that funding has been made
available to all adult social services in English councils to
access POET for free.
This webinar provided more information on POET and how councils can
now access it for free.
A recording of the session and the slides used can now be viewed
