Delivering Change - 17th Children's Residential

This will be our 17th workshop for members of our Children's Programme.  Although members have been working together since 2007 the work is no where complete and with the Green Paper and the SEN Bill making clear statements about personal budgets, the real challenge is only just beginning.

Date: 13 - 14 November 2012
Venue: The Weetwood Hotel, Leeds

Highlights include:

  • An update from the Department for Education
  • A chance to explore what personal budgets will mean across health, SEN and social care with representatives from the government's Green Paper team and other attendees
  • An opportunity to work through transition issues drawing in experience from local authorities and  the national Preparation for Adulthood programme
  • A chance to hear about what's happening at the Pathfinder sites and SE7 Framework for Choice and Control
  • Details of the proposed national brokerage service being outlined by the SEND Consortia
