Chris Hatton joins In Control

We are delighted to announce that Professor Chris Hatton, a long time collaborator of In Control has decided to take the step of working directly with us on a part time basis.

Alongside his many academic accomplishments Chris is well known as someone strongly committed to standing up for the rights of people who use health or social care support and their families. He has long applied his skills and experience in practical ways in support of these rights.

With In Control Chris co-developed and for many years has worked alongside John Waters in undertaking practice based research to underpin the driving of greater authenticity in personal budgets and self-directed support. Chris will bring his skills and experience to a wide range of projects in support of our mission for inclusion and help to provide evidence to underpin our contribution to the Independent Living Strategy Group and Social Care Future. Early projects will include:
