A national two-day event to explore how personal budgets for
children fit in with the Department for Education's (DfE) 'Support
and Aspiration' work took place on the 8 and 9 November.
This was the 13th residential event fot In Control's programme
and it was attended by more than 60 representatives from children's
services across the country.
The event was a great success with lots of examples of work
being carried out by children's services and new resources launched
including one to help families think about the resources they
already have (their real wealth) plus a fascinating debate about
personal SEN budgets led by Brian Lamb and Kevin Williams.
