Contribution Through Volunteering Part 1 22 May 2014

Presented by Andrew Tyson, In Control and Jemma Mindham, CSV

This webinar was broadcast on the 22 May 2014. You can watch a recording of the session below and view the slides used. The session presents an approach to building community capacity, developed by CSV and In Control over the past three years. It builds upon CSV's supported volunteering model and In Control's work on personalised support planning.  The approach promotes the recruitment, training and support of 'disabled' and 'non-disabled' volunteers' for the purposes of mutual support in voluntary work of their choice. It provides positive outcomes for individuals, communities and in terms of system efficiencies.

This is a two part webinar.  This first part concentrates on the model and learning to date.  The second part (date in June tbc) will present an approach to assessing cost and capacity using the methodology of system dynamics.

If you would like to be notified of the date of the second webinar, please email communications@in-control.org.uk
